History Mysteries

Ref: C2524700

A selected series of “History Mysteries” (drawn from previous courses on the subject) which all raise intriguing issues about the interpretation of evidence and the clash of historical arguments. However they are all examined within a wider context or used to draw out some other theme which is inherent. The main method will be powerpoint outline and group discussion. By agreement there may be some change in the schedule and topics. The syllabus will include, for example, the Mystery of the Mary Celeste, the Treasure of Oak Island, the Thugs of India, the Black Hole of Calcutta, the Dreyfus Affair, Otzi - the mysterious Ice Man, the Ninth Legion, Theories of Stonehenge etc.
