From puberty to menopause women have to deal with various issues around certain times of the month. This course will look at the female reproductive system, digestive and nervous system and holistic health in the form of lifestyle, nutrition and herbs to enhance well being.

Course aim

This course will provide information and practical examples on holistic ways of managing issues around stress, the digestive system and the female reproductive system.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Gain greater knowledge and appreciation on how the female reproductive system works
  • Learn how herbs and nutrition can be used to ease issues around the menstrual cycle
  • Gain a deeper understanding of how the digestive system works
  • Learn which herbs can be used to remedy particular digestive issues
  • Learn how to deal with stress using nutrition, herbs and lifestyle

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed
