Modernism Comes to Britain: Some 20th Century Artists

Ref: C2420064

This period saw huge social and political changes which were chronicled in much of the art of the time. British artists moved from a tradition rooted in Victorian and Edwardian taste to movements embracing modernism in its different expressions. This short course explores this trend, including the idea that many British arts rejected the contemporary orthodoxy of abstraction and set about developing figurative art in new directions.
