Beginner's Photography

Ref: C2341500

Properly managed Depth of Field allows us to "lose" backgrounds (and foregrounds!) that do not enhance the image being taken. This course will look at it's use in both close and longer distance photography. What is actually happening in the camera and why film speed is available on a device that has no film in it will be explained. A mixture of examples, explanation and practical exercises will comprise the session.

Course aim

  • Understand what is going on in the camera to record an image.

How will I be taught?

  • Practical exercises to allow students to practice the information being given.

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • There will be a number of tasks appropriate to your course such as written work, creating art or craft, video, photography or small projects. Some of these may be marked to help you progress
  • Images will be recorded on the students own devices wherever possible allowing reference at a later date.
