Students will use the 5 cable knitting samples from previous term to knit a full size cardigan. They will learn how to cast on according to their size, how to make 3 different ribbon bands and how to increase and decrease for arm hole/ neck line and how to attach the front and back panel. Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- This course is for beginners
- This course is for improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- students will learn how to cast on for knitting and crochet
- Students will be able to learn 2 different ribbon borders
- Students will be able to learn how to decrease and increase arm hole and neckline for knitting and crochet
- Students will be able to put both front and back panels together including sleeves
- Students will complete their portfolio
How will I be taught?
- The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
- You may be asked to undertake additional work in your own time to support your learning
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
- You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
- You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
- You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions
- A file of work will be kept which will help to record your progress
