The course will teach you various ways of using resistance bands to music to be able to do seated exercise that will help you improve mobility, flexibility and make you feel better both physically and mentally. You will not only be taught seated exercise but various other ways of keeping yourself healthy and happy such as other therapies like Reiki, Indian head massage, laughter yoga and meditation. We will be looking at all these therapies and the benefits of them.
Course aim
The course will teach you various ways to keep healthy both mentally and physically. You will take part in seated exercise, laughter yoga and meditation and learn how these therapies work.
Do I need any particular skills or experience?
- No skills or experience needed
- This course is suitable for beginners and improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Do seated exercise with bands and music.
- Do laughter yoga.
- Understand about meditation.
- Understand different ways for how to keep healthy.
- Understand the benefits of positivity.
How will I be taught?
- The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
- You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning

- Nothing else is needed
- All materials will be provided

What can I do next?
- Progress to another WEA course
- Become involved with the WEA in a range of voluntary work and other activities including campaigning as a WEA member
