Treaty of Versailles

Ref: C2341026

The Treaty of Versailles is regarded as the most important one which was signed after the First World War. This course will look at how it came about. The different perspectives of the leaders who were in the Palace of Versailles will be scrutinised. Georges Clemenceau, Lloyd George and Woodrow Wilson were very important influences on the contents. The 14 points on which it was based will also be discussed. The actual signing and the impact this had on the Germans will be an important topic. The success and failure of the various clauses will be studied. For example, the League of Nations.
