An introduction/revision of various Microsoft Office 2010 programs, for example, Word 2010, PowerPoint 2010, File Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Internet searching and Email.

Course aim

For the absolute beginner or anyone wishing to revise/refresh their computer skills after an absence from IT technology, using Microsoft Office 2010 programs and Windows 10 Operating System.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is for beginners

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Demonstrate a greater confidence in using a laptop with Windows 10 as its Operating System.
  • Accessing various Microsoft Office 2010 programs: Word 2010, PowerPoint 2010 and File Explorer.
  • Access Microsoft Edge.
  • Useful internet search methods.
  • Emails with attachments.

How will I be taught?

  • Learners work through tutor created resources designed to build confidence and develop new IT skills.

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?

  • All materials will be provided
  • WEA provide laptops with Windows 10 as its Operating System.
