Water, Water Everywhere

Ref: C2340881

Water – our most common yet most precious resource. We go to great lengths to distribute and dispose of it, yet seemingly waste much of what we collect. Increasing incidence of drought, in part associated with global warming, might create a change in attitudes and also bring a greater awareness of water problems in other parts of the world. Topics to be covered include the nature of water, its distribution, quality and role in the earth’s natural systems. Public health and the evolution of water supply and disposal systems are recognised by all of us, yet are totally lacking in other parts of the world. Problems which we all face include the impact of climatic change, flood and drought and attempts to tackle these extremes, along with the issues of pollution and abuse of the resource.
