Tai Chi and Health Qigong for Health and Relaxation Level 2

This course is suitable for people who have recently covered a period of at least two years experience of Yang style 24 form. We will also be continuing with Health Qigong forms already learnt, for example Tai Ji Yang Sheng Gong the Tai Chi Stick form. Be open to criticism.

Course aim

This course is suitable for people who have some experience of Tai Chi and Health Qigong.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for improvers
  • It is also suitable for the more experienced student.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Perform at least the first three sections of Yang style 24 form Tai Chi.
  • Be able to perform some of the basic movements without instruction.
  • Understand the reasons to relax and to use correct postures.
  • Understand some of the basics in Chinese medicine.
  • Be able to work together in a group

How will I be taught?

  • you will be encouraged to practice at home.

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning

What else do I need to know?

  • wear soft shoes and loose comfortable clothes.

Pre-course work, reading and information sources

  • No pre reading is required but research on the subject on the internet or in the library may be helpful
  • You will be guided as to where to find sources of guidance
