Explore both vintage and contemporary designs for inspiration, and experiment with a variety of materials and techniques to make your own unique seasonal items to help celebrate this very special time of the year. Course aim

To experiment with a variety of materials and crafting techniques to produce seasonal cards and crackers

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Have an overview of the history of crackers and greeting cards
  • Make a vintage or traditional seasonal cracker inspired by traditional techniques
  • Design a Christmas card using folding and or cutting techniques and a variety of embellishments
  • Know where to access craft resources

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • Informal and on-going friendly review and discussion

What else do I need to know?

  • All materials and equipment will be provided

Pre-course work, reading and information sources

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required
