This four week course will focus on a different aspect of festive: Gifts (sweets, cookies and more), Christmas Cooking With Kids, Make The Most of Leftovers and Party Food. It is a great opportunity to meet like minded people and exchange money saving ideas and recipes.

Course aim

This course is designed to give you fresh ideas about creating a variety of delicious festive food on a budget.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • To know how to save money by creating a beautiful and delicious selection of edible gifts.
  • To know some strategies for avoiding wasting any food.
  • Know some strategies for creating a festive food budget and sticking to it.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
  • You may be asked to undertake additional work in your own time to support your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?

  • If you have a tablet or laptop it would be helpful if you brought it to the session with you.
