The Plantagenets - the Real Game of Thrones 2

Ref: C2225718

The bloody centuries that inspired the Game of Thrones. Bitter intrigue, rivalry and murder that is the truth, not fiction: father against son, husband against wife and brother against brother. From the English empire in France to the bitter dynastic struggle that was the Wars of the Roses. Over eight generations they produced the most celebrated and worst kings and queens that this country has ever seen; controversial Henry II, brave King Richard, bad King John, the Black Prince – this is the dynasty that really invented England. The Plantagenets saw England emerge from the Dark Ages to become a highly organised kingdom that spanned a vast expanse of Europe.
