Repairs, Restoration and Re-ordering - Norwich Cathedral since the 1800's

Ref: C2225398

This course will be principally classroom-based, with the tutor sharing his 25 years of research into the repairs, restoration and re-ordering of Norwich Cathedral in the period from the late 18th century to about 1900. This will largely be done with the use of PowerPoint presentations, this being the best way to deliver the hundreds of pictures discovered in the course of the research, but at the same time will involve discussion about the issues of conservation and restoration. We will make at least one visit to the cathedral to see in practice what we have been talking about in the classroom.
