To explore stories and poems through characters and voices. Our theme is a Journey - physical and emotional. There will be a showcase of work in December.

Course aim

To improve Mental Health by writing . To bring stories to life through voices and performance.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This is a closed course for people who attend Sahir house.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Have improved my understanding of words, their creative structure and usage.
  • Improved my communication skills through imagination.
  • Written several pieces of script or prose that can be performed.
  • Worked individually and in pairs or groups.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?

  • All materials will be provided

Pre-course work, reading and information sources

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required
