Using your I-Pads or Tablet

This course is suitable for individuals who own ipad devices and would like to fully utilise them. Participants will learn how to use the calendar to set appointments and reminders. They will add and remove contacts, take and store photos. The course will also explain the various settings available on ipads and provide an introduction to apps.

Course aim

This course will provide learners with the confidence to use their ipad devices independently to perform day to day tasks.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Set a reminder on my calendar
  • Add at least two new contacts
  • Take at least two photos and retrieve them
  • Browse at least two apps in the app store

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed
  • All materials will be provided

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required
