Day School - London Livery Companies

Ref: C3741453

We will chart the development of the companies and the growth and variety of their trade and craft activities and will show how they underpin the organisation of the City. As well as studying their structure and the way they operate we will look at the wide ranges of the architecture of their halls and how these have developed. There will also be a focus on their role on the choice of the Lord Mayor and their participation in the Lord Mayor's Show, This will link with the many other city ceremonies with which they are involved. We will end by exploring the formation of and activities of new companies.
