Day School: Paddington Station, Regents Canal Basin and Little Venice

Ref: C3741379

Beginning with the west London village of Paddington we will explore the great changes in transport innovations in the area. We will study the early road improvements which were followed by the canal system with the development of the Regents Canal which had its Basin leading through Little Venice to Camden, Islington, Hackney and into the River Thames at Limehouse. This was then followed by the formation of the Great Western Railway with its terminus at Paddington Station.
