The Chilterns - Ice Age to Iron Age

Ref: C3741295

This will be a hands-on course to explore the main events of the Ice Age through to the Iron Age, and how each step has shaped our landscape in very different ways. We will start with how our landscape has been shaped by ice and during the tundra environments present several times during the last half million years. The Ice Age itself started 2.6 million years ago, but the Chilterns are a relatively young feature of this era. We then go on to explore how people have exploited and shaped the landscape further during the Stone Age to Iron Age.
