Day School: The Medieval Mystery Plays

Ref: C3741283

The Medieval Mystery Plays hold a unique place in theatrical history. They arose from brief enactments of the discovery of the risen Christ into full community plays featuring Old and New Testament stories. Various original scripts are extant and are still used today in annual productions in several cities. This Study Day will look at the historical development of the plays and students will engage in practical performance of parts of the plays.
