Painted Fabrics Drama Devising Workshops

Ref: C3673112

An opportunity to explore and celebrate a fascinating part of Sheffield's heritage: the story of Painted Fabrics Ltd. Supported by professional theatre makers and volunteers, you will begin with a variety of fun, relaxed drama and writing activities to develop core creativity skills and confidence. Through these exercises we will find out about Painted Fabrics and the people involved. This research will support and inspire a devising process, creating a piece of theatre which platforms Painted Fabrics. As the project develops you will feel equipped to generate ideas, characters, scenes and dialogue which will be woven into the final show. There will be opportunity to explore other interests such as song writing, set design and art which may feed into the performance. You can choose how much to be involved with the performance aspect of the project. It is possible to engage with the creation of the text and/or backstage and production strands separately if you prefer not to perform.
