Squeeze! Make your own first corset

Ref: C3672964

This course will provide a step by step guide to making your own made to measure under bust, steel boned corset. It begins with tuition on how to take body measurements and do pattern drafting. Then, you will move onto sewing a toile that will become the corset interlining, adding the outer layer of fabric, strengthening the waist with stay-tape, attaching boning channels, fitting the front busk, fixing in the centre back eyelets and finishing off the edges with bias binding. Feel free to bring your own choice of outer fabric, lining and bias bound edging if you have a colour choice and design in mind, or there will be a selection of fabrics available from the in-house stock. There are some in house sewing machines available to use, you are also welcome, to bring your own sewing machine if you prefer. All other hand tool such as pins, scissors, quick un-picks, hand sewing needles and thread will be provided.
