History's Dilemmas:1066, Dunkirk, D-Day, Titanic, Kennedy. Can we trust history?

Ref: C3672775

Do you agree that “History is just one damned thing after another”? Hopefully, it’s a bit more than that…Using major events (e.g. The Battle of Hastings, The Princes in the Tower, the sinking of the Titanic) as case studies, we’ll ask exactly what the nature of history is and examine the skills we need to study it. We’ll also discuss the problems we encounter when studying it - problems which make history so difficult, but also so interesting! So if you want to learn more about history and also want to share your views and exchange ideas on the case studies and their issues, then this is the course for you!
