Taster - Family Crafts for Easter

Parents will have the time to be creative alongside their children and design and make a 'Bathbomb', 'Paper Sun Catcher' and an 'Easter card' and have fun together. These will be made using different craft techniques and can be given away as gifts or saved as treasured keepsakes.

This is a Family Learning Activity children can only attend if accompanied by a parent and remain their parents responsibility at all times

Course aim

To provide a taster session for parents and their children to take the time to be creative together and make several crafty items for Easter.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Work well with others in the class and demonstrate respect and tolerance through discussing ground rules for the group
  • Understand the History of Easter and the different impact it has today
  • Make an Easter Bathbomb

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed
  • All materials will be provided
