Developing Your Confidence for Women

This course is for women only. It will aid students in building and developing their confidence by learning to develop techniques and strategies to raise their confidence as well as improve their health and wellbeing. They will recognise triggers that can impact on their confidence. They will identify ways of improving their confidence and wellbeing and introduce them into their daily life by implementing two ways which will improve their self esteem.

Course aim

Students will learn to improve their confidence as well as health & wellbeing within a female group. They will recognise triggers that can impact on their confidence & identify ways of improving this in their daily life.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers
  • This course is for women only as it is held in a women's centre

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • To identify areas where you are already confident
  • To identify how your health & wellbeing compares to others
  • To share ideas and good practice through discussion and practical activities
  • To identify and record short and long term goals to aid your health & wellbeing

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
  • You will be encouraged to consider other students work and give your opinions and suggestions
  • A file of work will be kept which will help to record your progress

  • Nothing else is needed

You can enrol online if you meet all of the following requirements:

  • are paying the standard fee or are on any of the qualifying benefits
  • are paying with a credit/debit card or are not paying a fee because of a qualifying benefit
  • have a valid email address
  • have been resident in the UK, EU or EEA for the last 3 years
  • are aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2017
