Life in our Iron Age Landscape: At home with the Celts

Ref: C3672284

The Iron Age is a fascinating time in the history of our Yorkshire Landscape. The people who lived here left lots of clues about their lives. This is an opportunity to join a friendly group of people developing your knowledge and your confidence. Castleford is famous for its Roman connections, but what was life like before the Roman Army arrived? Some people call the Iron Age people who thrived in Yorkshire the Celts. Are we right to call them this? How did they live? What were their houses like? What did they eat? How did they exploit the landscape around them? Were they warlike? What clothes did they wear?
