Learn a range of craft techniques in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment. Gain new skills in card making, jewelry making and sugarcraft using a range of tools and equipment and different mediums. Produce cards and gifts for friends and family for birthdays and Christmas along with lots of Christmas themed items.

Course aim

To teach a range of craft skills including card making, stamping and punching, jewelry making, sugarcraft and Christmas crafts

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • to make a celebration card using stamping techniques
  • to make sugar decorations using cutters and embossers to decorate cakes or cupcakes
  • to make a memory wire bracelet
  • to produce a Christmas themed decoration e.g wreath

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • Verbal feedback during practical tasks and on completion of practical work. Verbal question where appropriate

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed
  • All materials will be provided
  • students may bring there own craft related tools, equipment and materials if they wish to build up their own tool kit. This can be discussed with the tutor before purchasing.
