European Art 1500-1900

Ref: C3671421

This course aims to encourage students to explore different periods of art and to become more familiar with the works of a range of artists. Each session will look at a different era from the Renaissance to the Impressionists. Themes and styles will be explored in the presentations and in group work where students will have a chance to look in more detail at the work of individual artists. There will also be the option for students to carry out their own research if they wish to do so. Group work will also be an aspect of the course where students can talk to each other about their own ideas and reactions to specific artists and paintings.
