We will use a seasonal theme which will include harvest, Halloween and Christmas. We will make things that reflect the colours of the season. We will discuss what we think about at this time of the year, what we eat.

Admission to the course is restricted to service users of the centre.

Course aim

This course is designed for anyone interested in Art and Craft where you can learn new skills and practice ones that you know already.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • I will be able to say what I like about this time of the year.
  • Be able to say what colours we see at this time of the year and why we think they are prominent.
  • Be able to use scissors safely and with some accuracy.
  • To be able to copy the example and make one small change.
  • Work along side each other and share equipment.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed
