Getting the most from your iPad/Tablet - Beginners

The student will be able to learn about the different settings within their tablet such as learning more about using the different buttons available, changing the appearance and how to save battery power. The course is for the complete beginner or anyone wanting to get the most from their tablet in a friendly and supportive group. There will be plenty of tips and tricks to get you started.

To give the student the ability to use their own tablet

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • This course is for beginners

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Use the different buttons on your tablet such as Home, Volume and Power
  • Battery saving tips such as Bluetooth and Wifi settings
  • Create Folders to clean up your Home Screen
  • Use a variety of touch functions
  • Install or delete Apps

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
  • You may be asked to undertake additional work in your own time to support your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?

  • You will need to bring your own tablet to the course

Pre-course work, reading and information sources

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required
