Painting and Drawing for All

Ref: C3670846

This term we will look at elements of the natural and urban landscape and explore a range of ways to express them through drawing and paint. This will include transparent and ephemeral materials such as water and clouds, as well as texture in solid objects such as trees or mountains. This will include tips and tools for drawing objectively and gaining confidence to become more expressive. We will use a range of techniques and materials including acrylics, oils, inks, charcoal and pastels, on their own or in combination as well as lino printing - a useful discipline for concentrating on the essentials of an image. Throughout the course there will be practical demonstrations showing how to use the various media, as well as one-to-one discussion with the tutor on how your work is progressing. Students will be free to pursue their own projects
