Discover month - A Visit to a Medieval Farmhouse

Ref: C3529318

Professor Will Vaughan and his wife Pek Peppin discovered this tiny Somerset farmhouse in the last stages of dereliction in 1982. The journey to making it habitable has been long and complicated and has turned up some interesting discoveries - the remains of a medieval hall and some very rare late 15th century wall paintings. Will and Pek have agreed to open their home for an illustrated talk and tour of the house exclusively for us on 10th June, followed by tea and cake. The house next door is going to be holding an open garden event at the same time. NB this is a medieval property and therefore has uneven flooring and narrow stairs which are not be suitable for people with mobility problems. Visitors are suggested to wear flat shoes with good grip and to watch their footing at all times.
