If you would like to learn about computers join our informal and friendly class. This course is suitable for complete beginners; you will be working at your own pace towards achieving a WEA certificate in a variety of IT based subjects. We have designed a modular system with exercises, workbooks etc. Covering 19 different modules including; Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Graphics and Charts, Database, Webmail, Internet Browsing, Desktop Publishing, Business and Greeting Cards, Using a Tablet and Transferring photos from a camera. On completion of each module and test paper you can progress onto the next one. All students have one to one help at all stages from our excellent tutor. Advice and guidance on your own laptop/computer is also available as part of the course.

Course aim

The course will cover Microsoft Office Applications, the Internet and email. It will give you all the skills you need to use a computer in a relaxed and friendly environment enabling you to gain confidence in using a computer at home/workplace.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

  • Nothing else is needed
