Come and experience gentle yoga in a relaxed and fun environment with Georgia. Each session will cover a range of yoga poses (asana’s) designed to de-stress, revitalise and relax the body with an emphasis on reducing anxiety and improve sleep. Yoga is reputed to help the following problems: Improves your flexibility Builds muscle strength Helps to aid good posture Prevents cartilage and joint breakdown Protects your spine Betters your bone health Increases your blood flow Drains your lymphs and boosts immunity Drops your blood pressure Regulates your adrenal glands, therefore reduces stress Makes you happier Lowers blood sugar Helps you focus and lowers anxiety Eases pains and aches

Course aim

This is a gentle exercise class that is open to all, including beginners and individuals who have already experienced yoga.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • Please wear comfortable clothes

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Learners will feel more relaxed
  • learners may learn techniques that will improve flexibility
  • Learners will demonstrate relaxation techniques

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • Assessment is continous

What else do I need to know?

  • You can bring your own mat if you prefer

Pre-course work, reading and information sources

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required
