Makaton Beginner's Workshop for Parents and Carers

Ref: C3528506

This course provides an introductory workshop for parents and carers who need to use Makaton in everyday situations, but with less theory and technical information. Signing instruction is given for stages 1-4, plus some additional signs to help in practical situations. Makaton symbols are included and examples of their use are given. Teaching methods are discussed and developed. At the end of the Parents and carers beginners' workshop, participants should have the confidence and skills to begin to use Makaton more fluently in their daily interactions with children and adults.
