Learners will be improving all aspects of health and fitness through an exercise programme which will help reach and maintain their health targets.
Course aim
A full body workout with and without the use of gym equipment which includes cross trainers, rowing machines, bikes and steppers. Also incorporating cardio workout, muscular and bone strength followed by relaxation exercises.

- This course is suitable for beginners and improvers
By the end of the course I should be able to:
- Explain what osteoporosis is.
- Name three ways to reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
- Explain how physical activity can reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
How will I be taught?
- The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
What kind of feedback can I expect?
- A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
- You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
- You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning
- A file of work will be kept which will help to record your progress
What else do I need to know?
- Suitable clothing and closed footwear appropriate for exercise, any medications you may require such as inhalers or sprays, sweet drink and drinking water in a plastic sports bottle.
