Stiperstones Mindfulness Walk

The session will be time for connecting with and appreciating the natural world, a chance to step out of autopilot, pause and experience the present moment in a natural setting. The session will take place in and out of doors (come prepared for the weather) and include some walking, but nothing very strenuous.

Course aim

To learn about and practice mindful awareness in natural settings, and considering the benefits of mindfulness to well-being .

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Identify at least two benefits of mindfulness
  • Describe connections between the natural world and well-being
  • Practice mindfulness for myself

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning

What else do I need to know?

  • Please wear good walking boots or shoes and comfortable warm clothing in layers, in case of cold weather. Rain gear also needed!
