This course is for all learners who wish to learn admin skills needed for an office environment. You will be able to learn various terms used in office. Roles and responsibility of a receptionist will be covered on this course. You will learn how to write professional letters and emails.

Course aim

Learners will be able to learn admistrative skills needed for a workplace. Learners will be able to recognise their own skills and learn more skills required e.g., teamwork, time management, etc

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • List reception duties
  • Describe how to handle telephone calls
  • Identify the importance of Teamwork and Time management
  • Demonstrate Health and Safetly in a workplace
  • Describe good communication skills

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • A range of informal activities will be used by the tutor to see what you are learning which may include quizzes, question and answer, small projects and discussion
  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor

What else do I need to know?

  • Nothing else is needed
