Course aim

Sosa Dance Fitness for women. Dance routines, rumba salsa, waltz etc. Low impact, aerobic exercise. Fun packed relaxed atmosphere.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Learn dance routines,
  • Learn the terminology of a dance routine.
  • learn how to create the movement of a dance style, such as rumba and waltz etc
  • Learn the method of co-ordination of hand and arm movement and foot movement.
  • Discover the many dance styles of ballroom has to offer, and international dance steps.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning
  • The students will be taught, together as a group and will be given instructions and visual instructions on how to perform a particular movement or steps. Will encourage and support the student throughout the demonstration of the dance routine.

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You are free to ask questions about anything to do with the dance routine to help to understand the method of the dance steps and movements of the dance style.

What else do I need to know?

  • You will need to bring bottle water or water bottle. You will need to wear flat comfortable non-slip shoes or trainers. You will need to be wearing loose comfortable clothes.

  • Progress to another WEA course
  • Progress to a course with another provider
  • Become involved with the WEA in a range of voluntary work and other activities including campaigning as a WEA member
