Our Dark Argosies Part 1

Ref: C2419117

Our Dark Argosies explores Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American literature in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, much of which is informed by the experience of the Spanish Civil War and dictatorships in Portugal and Latin American countries. We will examine the manner in which literature has reacted to these events, how social and individual identities have been formed and how both dystopian and utopian visions have been created. The first text is Blindness by Saramago.
