Saturday Lecture: The Romanov Sisters

Ref: C2419083

In July 1918 Nicholas II, his wife, his heir, and his four daughters were murdered at Ekaterinburg. DNA evidence has revealed conclusively that no-one escaped from the slaughter. While much has been written about the Tsar and his wife, it is only recently that attention has come to focus on the Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, and Anastasia Romanova. This course will show how recent research is revealing many fascinating details about their lives and attractive characters, making their fate seem all the more tragic. They have now been canonised as saints by the Russian Orthodox Church.
