Joseph Wright and The Enlightenment - Walk & Talk

Joseph Wright was one of the leading artists of the 18th century, and his paintings encapsulate the age of the Enlightenment of which his home town, Derby, was an important centre. This workshop will build a picture of what Derby was like at that time, partly through a walking tour and investigation of the city as well, but also through the works of Wright and his circle.
