An introduction to researching your Family History - Older and Wiser project

Ref: C2339251

This short course will provide you with a volunteer 'buddy' who will start your family history for you then help you to record your memories onto the latest technology programme to produce a basic family history that will incorporate your memories, stories, and photos alongside official records and significant historical events. You will make new friends, be amazed at what can be done today, amaze others with your memories, stories and photographs and have a lot of fun as a bonus. All the volunteers have learned their skills over the last year or so and are active, keen and skilled amateur genealogists in their own right. The course is led by a professional historian and genealogist who is devoted to revealing the real histories of we ordinary folk while developing a method that provide a lot of fun on route.
