The course content will include: Health and Safety for Windows 10, Windows 10 basics, icons and shortcuts, File and Folder management, exploring Control Panel and Personalisation, Microsoft Edge.

Course aim

The aim of the course is to encourage learners to become confident in using Windows 10 and to familiarise themselves with many of the features that enable Windows 10 to work.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed
  • This course is suitable for beginners and improvers

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Implement Health and Safety requirements for Windows 10.
  • Complete basic operations within Windows 10.
  • Manage files and folders within Windows 10.
  • Explore Control Panel and Personalisation within Windows 10.
  • Explore Microsoft Edge.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will have opportunities to discuss your progress with your tutor
  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning

What else do I need to know?

  • All materials will be provided
  • The WEA will supply a Windows 10 laptop to anyone who does not own a laptop where Windows 10 is the Operating System. Bring your own Windows 10 laptop if you have one.
