Christmas wreath making is a traditional way to celebrate, and wreaths symbolise eternity. We will use recycled and natural materials to create a homemade wreath, using the materials as discussion of temporality and permanence. But all in all, a fun Christmas craft session!

All students will be parents from the Catton, Fiddlewood and Mile Cross Children's Centre area

Course aim

Students will create a Christmas wreath using natural and recycled materials.

Do I need any particular skills or experience?

  • No skills or experience needed

By the end of the course I should be able to:

  • Working independently in a learner centred creative task.
  • Creation of a wreath as a symbol of eternity.
  • Small group discussion and presentation of wreath to explain your creative choices.

How will I be taught?

  • The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you and the group to be actively involved in your learning

What kind of feedback can I expect?

  • You will be encouraged to share your work with the group and discuss your learning

What else do I need to know?

  • A selection of materials and basic equipment will be provided but you are welcome to bring additional materials with you

  • No pre reading or pre course work is required
