Have you ever wanted to speak holiday Spanish? Help to make your Spanish holiday more enjoyable by coming along and join us to learn in a nice friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Course aim

To be able to get by using basic Spanish in a Spanish speaking country. To develop fluency in a range of Spanish role-plays using touristy situations

Who is the course for?

It is preferable if you could have a basic knowledge of Spanish and be able to speak basic Spanish

What topics will this course cover

To be able to describe a home and read property descriptions. To make enquires about renting a property. To enquire about lost property.

What will it be like?

WEA classes are friendly and supportive. You will be encouraged to work together with your fellow students and tutor. You will be asked to share your ideas and views in the class and work with the group to give and accept feedback in a supportive environment. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you to be actively involved in your learning. You may be asked to undertake work to support your course outside of your class.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

1) Describe a house 2) Read and translate property descriptions 3) Make enquiries about renting a house or flat 4) To make enquiries about lost property

Through ILPs and Q & A which provides immediate feedback

Reading and information sources

No reading is necessary beforehand as this will be discussed at the first class

What could the course lead to?

Many students could practise their language during a summer trip to Spain, or a Spanish speaking country. Students could continue reading and listening to the CDs and doing the exercises from them in preparation for a further Spanish course
