Introduction to ICT - WrITe On
This is a WEA embedded programme for ICT and basic literacy to support students who wish to improve their confidence and skills to help them find work.
To give students skills needed to understand and use MS Word confidently
Who is the course for?
This course is for students with little knowledge of MS Word and want to improve their basic MS skills .
What topics will this course cover
The course will give students confidence in using MS Word and cover basic word processing and literacy skills.
What will it be like?
WEA classes are friendly and supportive. You will be encouraged to work together with your fellow students and tutor. You will be asked to share your ideas and views in the class and work with the group to give and accept feedback in a supportive environment. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you to be actively involved in your learning. You may be asked to undertake work to support your course outside of your class.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
1.Know the basic MS Word Icons and what they do 2. Use the keyboard in MS Word 3.Make changes to text confidently e.g. size, font type, font size 4.Insert pictures in a MS Word document 5.Spell and grammar check a document
