Course aim

This is a course for older people to come and share their memories with each other and learn from each other

Who is the course for?

This course is for people 50+ who are interested in sharing and exchanging their life journey No experience or qualifications are required

What topics will this course cover

This course is about the lives of the people attending, they will be encouraged to share their experiences and learn and grow from each other

What will it be like?

WEA classes are friendly and supportive. You will be encouraged to work together with your fellow students and tutor. You will be asked to share your ideas and views in the class and work with the group to give and accept feedback in a supportive environment. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you to be actively involved in your learning. You may be asked to undertake work to support your course outside of your class.

By the end of the course I should be able to:

Shared up to 3 of their stories and learned the importance of listening Differentiated between stories read and stories told Learned and demonstrate questioning skills Explored analysing stories

How will I know I'm making progress?

An initial will be done, and regular feedback will be given throughout the course, along with the assessment paperwork

What else do I need to know, do or bring?

There are a few thing which are required for this course, a smiling face, a willingness to participate and an open mind.There are no other requirements

This course is about you the individual, there is no need for any preparation.
