Relax and De-stress -Using Aromatherapy
During the course you will build on your previous knowledge and massage techniques while exploring a range of essential oils to help improve health and well-being. You will learn how to remain focused and avoid distractions while performing grounding techniques. Before your massage you will perform gentle exercises to allow you to be more flexible and mobile while understanding the effects and benefits. The course will also cover how to blend oils to make your own creams.

This course aims to explore different ways to promote good health using aromatherapy and will focus on relaxation and dealing with stress using aromatherapy techniques and natural products . Course restricted to service users at the centre
The course will introduce a range of massage techniques, to be performed and modified while working on each other. A variety of essential oils and mediums will be used to help improve one's health and well-being and build on previous knowledge and understanding
Who is the course for?
Anyone who has an interest in health and well-being and wants to learn how to relax and de-stress.
What topics will this course cover
During the course you will introduce more massage techniques using pre-blended oils. You will be able to use the correct amount of oils to base oils or creams and recognise the effects and benefits. By grounding yourself and performing a range of gentle exercises prior to massage will enable you to carry out a professional massage while be totally relaxed.
What will it be like?
WEA classes are friendly and supportive. You will be encouraged to work together with your fellow students and tutor. You will be asked to share your ideas and views in the class and work with the group to give and accept feedback in a supportive environment. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you to be actively involved in your learning. You may be asked to undertake work to support your course outside of your class.
