To equip the students with the language needed to make yourself understood in a wide range of situations, whilst visiting France or a French speaking country.

What topics will this course cover
Building on the language learnt during an improvers course, you will learn how to make yourself understood in a wider range of holiday situations. You will be guided step by step through all the basic language skills and given plenty opportunities to practise what you have learnt as you go along. A variety of reading and listening comprehension questions, structured pair and group work activities, along with regular revision will enable you to consolidate learning and gain confidence in using the spoken language.
What will it be like?
WEA classes are friendly and supportive. You will be encouraged to work together with your fellow students and tutor. You will be asked to share your ideas and views in the class and work with the group to give and accept feedback in a supportive environment. The WEA tutor will use a range of different teaching and learning methods and encourage you to be actively involved in your learning. You may be asked to undertake work to support your course outside of your class.
By the end of the course I should be able to:
Describe musical tastes and habits Discuss the role of music and its benefits Describe positive and negative emotions
How will I know I'm making progress?
Feedback is given regularly after completing the tasks set. Extra tasks are given if necessary in order to achieve the required level.
